A crown court in Boston, USA has recently summoned a cat (Sal - Pictured) to attend jury service. When informed about the obvious mistake, the court responded by stating the cat "must attend jury service".
Anna Esposito, the cats owner, replied to the courts second letter with vet information stating that "Tabby Sal" was in fact a domestic cat.
The strange mistake took place after Anna Esposito placed her cat Sal on the Census as her pet. The courts obviously administrated Sal as a human.

Wow. I bet the owners of Sal had a good laugh off of that one. How can the court make such an embarrassing mistake?
I wonder if Sal gets to vote? I woulda sent Sal to jury duty and collected his pay.

Heard this on the radio and it absolutely made my day. Even when the vet wrote back and said "it's a cat" they insited on the cat appearing. What a tail!
